How to get there

The mountain village of Stoos is car-free and can only be reached by cable car (funicular). Plan your arrival in good time to arrive feeling fully relaxed.

1. International guest best fly to Zurich airport and take the train to Schwyz. National guest travel by train to Schwyz via Zurich of Luzern. Check the railway schedule: https://sbb.ch 
2. In Schwyz take the bus B 501, direction "Muotathal, Hölloch", and get out at the station Schwyz, Stoosbahn (18min)
3. Take the world’s steepest funicular railway from Schwyz and experience the first highlight of your stay. Stoos Lodge is located right next to the summit station.
   The funicular railway runs from 7.10 am to 7.10 pm at 10 minutes and 40 minutes past each hour. For departures later in the evening, check the timetable.
